Sydney Harbour Concours d'Elegance 2026

I am absolutely delighted to be appointed as the first ever Artist in Residence for the most prestigious motor show in the southern hemisphere. The event runs from 27^th February to the 1^st March and has been held since 2019 on the edge of the Pacific ocean. The Show is located on Cockatoo Island in the middle of Sydney Harbour and will feature a remarkable automotive array – from classic, super and hyper cars to examples of new energy vehicles.

I am looking forward to producing a painting of the winner of the “Best in show”. They will be awarded a handmade clamshell box at the event containing a certificate entitling the winner to a commissioned painting of their car. I will spend some time with the winning owner understanding important details and idiosyncrasies of their pride and joy so that I can incorporate these into the work. I will also be displaying my painting of the Porsche 993 RS CS which legendary New Zealander, Jim Richards drove to victory in the 1999 Australian GTP Championship.
